mpForm means multi purpose form, and so it has much more possibilities than the classic form modules. A main difference to this and also to minform is the possibilty to generate a mail with the form entries to an email address which is entered in the form.
Furthermore, in mpform you define the field types in the backend, e.g. you do not have to create/edit a special template as it is at minform the case.
 

mpForm steht für multi purpose, zu deutsch "Vielzweckformular", und hat deshalb eine große Zahl an Einstellmöglichkeiten und Funktionen - mehr als das klassische Formularmodul. Darüber hinaus bietet es die Möglichkeit, die Formulardaten an eine im Formular selbst abgefragte Mailadresse zu versenden.
Im Ggs. zu miniform werden die Formularfelder über das Backend angelegt, es ist also nicht erforderlich, ein spezielles Formulartemplate zu generieren.
